This course provides an overview of employment laws and regulations, and their application in the effective and lawful supervision and management of employees. Relevant concepts and laws regarding the fair and equitable treatment of employees, including discrimination, sexual harassment, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Leave Act are considered in the context of the various phases of the employment relationship, from hiring, probationary employment, evaluation and discipline, through termination.
