This course is designed to assist law enforcement and public safety personnel with the opportunity to obtain an understanding of the new responsibilities, liabilities, and the changes that come with the conversion from officers to supervisors. Topics to be covered include: the principles of leadership, team building inside and outside of the facilities, problem resolution and decision making, and new responsibilities.
This course is designed to provide practical tips, techniques and solutions needed to transition from an officer to a successful supervisor. Understanding that you’re in charge of coordinating people and tasks, and your success depends on your ability to get tasks done through others, officers will learn to excel as a manager and leader who commands the respect, commitment and credibility that moves people to action.
