A newly created seven-hour program designed for current and newly assigned institutional fire safety officers is offered at least once per quarter and is usually held at the MD Police & Correctional Training Commissions Public Safety Education & Training Center in Sykesville, MD. Instructors are provided by the State Fire Marshal’s Office in partnership with the MD Commissions on Correctional Standards.
