S.T.O.P. – Serving the Transgender Offender Professionally
This specialized training program is aimed to deconstruct gender stereotypes and increase participants’ acceptance of and comfort with transgender clients. The program emphasizes building self-awareness, respectful and effective communications skills, and basic problem solving skills. Any individual working within a service setting can utilize these skills on a day-to-day basis to more effectively serve transgender offenders.
**IMPORTANT NOTICE** This course (originally a PM session for 3 credit hours) was adjusted to a FULL DAY COURSE. The class will run 9:00am - 4:00pm. Enrolled students were notifed 4/23/15.
