The Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation will provide NEWLY ASSIGNED investigators or individuals who may soon be assigned to investigative positions with BASIC KNOWLEDGE that, when added to field experience, should enable them to become effective criminal investigators. Course material will focus on the role of the “generalist” criminal investigator. While some of the material and techniques presented may be familiar to some of the participants, each topic will be presented and discussed from the perspective of a criminal investigator. The “TARGET AUDIENCE” for this training is NEWLY ASSIGNED investigators.

Participants in this training are assumed to be experienced law enforcement officers who are assigned the responsibility to conduct criminal investigations for their agency.
