This course introduces participants to fundamental management principles and practices, and assists them in building a repertoire of effective supervisory skills. A conceptual framework for the supervisor's role is presented, and theories of motivation and supervisory style are explored. Models of effective supervisory practice are reviewed, and tools for enhancing competencies are introduced.
