CS- Positive Psychology

General Description
This training provides the information that case managers need to understand the importance of practicing and teaching pro-social behaviors to clients under community supervision. The curriculum was developed from a meta-analysis of evidence based practice literature in positive psychology. The overarching goal is to improve successful institutional outcomes for staff, while reducing recidivism for the client population under community release. The take-away for both staff, and the clientele under supervision, is that positive thinking is a pathway for new learning based on the practice and modeling of positive pro-social behaviors.
