This course is an introduction to the concepts of balance, movement, body dynamics, and recognition/response skills when faced with potentially adversarial situations in the community and the office. Goals are built around minimizing personal risk by learning defense against strikes and kicks, and ground fighting/defense techniques. The ultimate goal is the safe removal of staff from dangerous situations. Participants should be prepared to engage in moderately strenuous physical activities.
