One day of training entitled “Ethical Dilemmas, Beyond the Policy Manual” entails management level instruction to define ethics; identify conflicts that cause ethical dilemmas; recognize how police managers deal with them; and introduction to an ethical decision-making model including exercises resolving hypothetical ethical dilemmas.
The other day of training, entitled “Occasional Major Case Management” is oriented toward police managers who may take on significant criminal investigations at various supervisory levels. It focuses on practical issues often absent from traditional major case instruction, such as frequently overlooked initial tasks that can derail investigations, and subsequent measures to avoid investigative failures.
This course is intended for those in management positions and higher.
