General Description
The purpose of the program is to provide instruction in basic residential crime prevention methodologies and techniques. It is designed for those officers and personnel who are assigned full or part time to crime prevention and/or community policing. Topics include Introduction to Crime Prevention; Residential and Personal Security; Target Hardening; Crime Prevention and the Elderly; Techniques for Teaching Children; Victim/Witness Issues; Partnerships and Problem Solving; Alarms; Fraud; Skills for Effective Presentations; Fraud; CPTED; Security Surveys.
