This is a mandated training program which teaches those instructors the methodology of facilitation of the Commissions’ seven mandated objectives so they may teach STG training in any Entry Level Training Program or In-Service Training Program.

This class will meet the MPCTC requirements for Gang instructor for the new gang training objectives which become effective January 2009. The MPCTC has instituted new training objectives while all public safety members in the state must include in their entry level and in-service training curriculum. The objectives must be taught by instructors that have attended an MPCTC sponsored “Gang Instructor – Train the Trainer” class. This class is multidisciplinary in nature and is open to all members of public safety in Maryland including law enforcement, correction, Community Supervision and Dept. of Juveniles Services. All persons receiving this training must meet the following criteria: 1) A current MPCTC certified instructor or provisional instructor. 2) Be willing to assist other agencies with their gang instructional needs.
