Islam in Focus provides an overview of the beliefs and practices of the Islamic faith, explains cultural and religious traditions, briefly details the origin and history of the religion, examines theological issues of concern (jihad and shariah) that impact the public discourse, explores the roots of religious radicalization and trends in the United States, and provides information and tools for law enforcement officers to effectively engage with Muslim communities for countering violent extremism (CVE) objectives.
