Simulation Model of Action in Response Tactics (SMART)

General Description
8:00am - 4:30pm
Simulation Model of Action in Response Tactics is a table top exercise that will encourage informed decision making skills when faced with a sequence of events simulating from real life scenarios. In an occupation where “tunnel vision” can be deadly, this exercise and program will assist officers and supervisors in obtaining a broadened viewpoint of potentially hazardous situations as well as areas that may be of assistance for the type of incident.

This type of training can be taught to entry level police with the basic instructions for incident response and patrol procedures. It can also be used for first line supervisors to assist with the deployment of their personnel to the most basic of situations up to the most dangerous. It will allow command staff to visualize, direct, and control their personnel from a “bird’s eye view.”
