This is a 12 hour course in preliminary sexual assault investigation for patrol officers who will be the first to respond to the victims. Topics include: the psychology of sexual assault, the myths of sexual assault, the initial response to sexual assault calls, psychological first aid, evidence preservation & collection, report writing, the sexual assault laws in Maryland and Maryland victim’s rights requirements. |
