General Description
This BASIC training is aimed at front line responders, the CHAMP Child Maltreatment Training targets officers’ response to suspected child abuse and neglect. This program supports child maltreatment experts in training officers in recognizing and responding to possible child physical or sexual abuse or child neglect, understanding injuries, when to refer for medical evaluations, talking with children and what information is needed from a scene investigation.
