This course is designed to assist law enforcement and public safety personnel with the opportunity to obtain an understanding of the new responsibilities, liabilities, and the changes that come with the conversion from officers to supervisors. Topics to be covered include: the principles of leadership, team building inside and outside of the facilities, problem resolution and decision making, and new responsibilities.

One day you're a peer; the next day you're the manager. The transition may or may not be easy. It can however be accomplished successfully. This course will prepare you for making the transition. Topics include: planning to move into management, changing roles, resolving jealousy or anger issues and building a strong, positive work group or team.
