Background Investigator’s Training - Just the Basics

 

General Description
This 3-hour course is being offered to new background investigators who are conducting background investigations for hiring purposes only. Participants will review and learn about the basic information necessary to understand hiring standards for mandated personnel, apply the standards to their roles as background investigators, identify situations where they may need to expand the investigation, understand the importance of mitigating derogatory information, complete the initial report, and utilize their supervisor for report reviews. Commissions personnel will also discuss the role of the Commissions as it pertains to accepting mitigating information.

The course offered on April 12th is by invitation only, intended to vet the training and will be conducted with experienced background investigators. Anyone attending this course should understand that they will be expected to provide input throughout the course.
