Training Coordinators' Update (In-Person)

This program is designed to update police and correctional training coordinators with the current training and certification requirements of the Police & Correctional Training Commissions. Presentations will be given by members of the Certifications Unit, the Police Training Unit, the Firearms Training Unit, the Registrar's Office, and the Leadership Development Institute. Attendees will also learn about mandated and elective training programs that are available through the MD Police & Correctional Training Commissions.

This course will be held in a HYBRID format. Attendees should register for either the in-person program or virtual option.

IMPORTANT NOTES: The program is designed for those NEW to the positions. All students are welcome to attend to gather the information or for a refresher, but it is not a mandated training requirement.

Also it should be noted that we will not be covering any of the House Bill updates, legislative requirements or job task analysis/training objectives during this session. Topics will follow the standard agenda, and include presentations from the Registrar's office, Leadership Development Institute, Certification & Compliance Units, Firearms Training, Mandated In-service requirements and Entry-Level Training programs.
