Handgun Defenses

This four hour class will teach officers how to defend against threats with handguns. The skills taught include: threats from the front, rear and side as well as handgun defenses on the ground and hostage situations.
*Students should not have any physical or other limitations that will affect their abilities to particpate and complete any of the skills taught.
*Students should bring with them the following protective gear:
-Mouth guard
-Wrist wraps
-Half-finger (MMA-type) gloves
-Groin protection
-Shin protection pads (recommended)
-Duty belts
-Sweats and/or gym gear
-Cross trainer type shoes

This class will be held at the Physical Training Center.
