DTF- Emergency Vehicle Ops Platform & Acclimation

This one-day program is designed to assist agencies who are transitioning from one platform vehicle to another. More specifically, for agencies that are issuing the SUV for use by their officers/deputies. Traditionally, Law Enforcement agencies have driven sedans that have a lower center of gravity and possess a significantly different operating dynamic than the now issued SUV. This course will cover: SUV Dynamics, Traction Control Systems, Electronically Stability Control and the unique dynamics associated with the Police Package SUV PPV. Attention: This course is for certified police officers only!

PLEASE NOTE: All users of the Driver Training Facility MUST have a valid users agreement in force prior to registration. For additional information or confirmation of the user agreement status, contact Driver Training (410) 549-5732 Option #1.

This program is not intended for other purposes than platform changes and SUV familiarization. There is no Emergency Response component in this program. For agencies needing an in-service program specifically to deal with post-collision/incident and remedial training, please refer to the 2-Day In-Service Program.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- All registrations have a closing date of 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the course starting date. Any cancellations after the closing date may result in the forfeiture of the registration fee.

- The cost may be waived if an agency supplies a MPCTC EVO Certified Instructor (per 2 enrolled students) for the entire program duration. However, payment method MUST BE PROVIDED upon enrollment and will be edited after the course conclusion if applicable.

- Client Agencies are Maryland certified agencies under the regulated authority of the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commissions (MPCTC).
