This course assists managers and supervisors in developing an improved understanding of, and sensitivity to, the differing cultures and sensibilities of people with backgrounds different from their own. Topics include: What is Culture?, Values & Assumptions, Cross-Cultural Communication, Ways We Differ and Common Ground.

Class Description
In our increasingly diverse society and workplace, it is imperative that managers and staff develop an improved understanding of, and sensitivity to, the differing cultures and sensibilities of people with background different from their own. This session will assist participants in improvement of their understanding of the difference perceptions of reality, behaviors, manners, habits, values and beliefs of various cultures in our society and explore ways in which to improve their communications with people from different backgrounds.
