Wellness Conference for Public Safety Professionals

The Westminster Police Department is hosting a one-day mental-health wellness conference at the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions on Thursday, April 4, 2019. The conference features presentations from Sean Riley, founder SafeCallNow.org; Director Vernon Herron, Office of Police Officer Safety and Wellness, Baltimore Police Department; and Mark Schubert, Director BHS. The conference is open to all, supervisors and administrators are encouraged to attend. The focus of the conference is on identifying the need for assistance that public safety professionals sometimes need and discussing how to seek treatment or to help someone seek treatment. There will also be a focus on managing stress. |
