This course provides a look at common leadership challenges and offers practical approaches to overcome them. Participants will gain leadership skills and they are encouraged to immediately act on the concepts through activities and case studies.
The featured speaker is Mr. Jack Enter, who will address Leadership Principles for Correctional Executives. Mr. Enter has been associated with the field of criminal justice and corrections since 1972. He has served as a correctional US Army Military Police Officer and was assigned to a military correctional facility earlier in his career. He served as an acting Warden at the Gwinnett County Correctional Facility as well as Captain and Chief Deputy at the Gwinnet County Sheriff’s Office outside of Atlanta. In this capacity, he was responsible for oversight of Personnel and Operational Management decisions at the jail. Jack Enter obtained his Ph.D. in 1984 and has served as a professor and administrator in the university setting. He also served as the Director of Georgia Information & Education for the Governor’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.
