This First Line Administrator Training Program is required by the Police and Correctional Training Commissions for all police and correctional personnel assigned or promoted into their department’s first line administrator rank. It meets all Mandated training objectives for First Line Administrators.
The program facilitates the understanding of effective management and leadership. Instructors guide students through scenario-based learning and problem identification and resolution that is geared to supporting the student’s success in their role as a First Line Administrator. The testing method for this program will be a daily quiz on topics taught each day. Students must score 75% or higher average among all the quizzes and maintain at least a 90% attendance in order to receive credit for the class.There is a strict deadline for registration of 1-week prior to the first day of class.
PLEASE NOTE: Agencies holding a seat with a yet to-be-determined student will need to enter the information TWO MONTHS prior to the course start date. If student information is not entered by this time, the hold will be automatically removed from the roster.
The Date of Promotion to Current Rank is required to enroll in this course!
Class days 1-6 will run 8:30am-4:00pm; Day 7 will run 8:30am-12:00pm.
$150 for client agencies; $210 for non-client agencies (DPSCS=no cost)
* Registration Fee includes morning and afternoon beverage service each class day and lunch on the last day of class, as well as a Resource Notebook and a copy of the book “The 27 Challenges Managers Face” by Bruce Tulgan.
