General Description

This 2-day Leadership Summit is for DPSCS DOC personnel in the rank of Captain or Major and is designed as a follow-up to the two-day Leadership Summit. A variety of presenters will review topics such as Human Resources, Critical Incidents in Corrections, Strategies for Dealing with Positive and Negative Performance, and many more.

Participants will have the opportunity to review case studies related to human resources and legal issues. Discussion will also center around union concerns and investigations. An administrator’s panel will also be made available for an interactive session with the participants to answer questions and share experiences of supervision in a correctional setting.

Class Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm

This session is offered as a follow-up to the 2-day Leadership Summit offered November 6-7th, 2017. Also those who attended in November are authorized to enroll in this class. The Summit will be offered additional dates in 2018.

Instructor(s): Presenters will include William Sage (IID), Sandy Regler (HRSD), Patti Smith and Todd Taylor from the Attorney General’s office and several Wardens.
