DPP- Justice Reinvestment Act (JRA) Roll-Out (2-day)

| General Description |
In May 2016, Governor Hogan signed Senate Bill 1005, the Justice Reinvestment Act, requiring state agencies to participate in a variety of initiatives to reduce recidivism. The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services has numerous initiatives specifically for the Division of Parole and Probation. This 2-day training will define Justice Reinvestment and Evidence Based Practices. Students will also be given an overview of new policies and assessment tools. |
