This First Line Administrator Training Program is required by the Police and Correctional Training Commissions for all police and correctional personnel assigned or promoted into their department’s first line administrator rank. It meets all Mandated training objectives for First Line Administrators.
The program facilitates the understanding of effective management and leadership. Instructors guide students through scenario-based learning and problem identification and resolution that is geared to supporting the student’s success in their role as a First Line Administrator. Students will take a quiz at the end of each day and will need to achieve an average of 75% or higher. Students will also maintain at least a 90% attendance in order to receive credit for the class.

One week prior to the start of class, enrolled students will receive, via e-mail, a detailed course description and schedule, along with a brief, required pre-training assignment. This must be completed and turned in on the first day of class.
Class days 1-6 will run 8:30am-4:00pm; Day 7 will run 8:30am-12:00pm.
Cost Update Effective January 1, 2018: $150 for client agencies; $210 for non-client agencies (DPSCS=no cost)
* Registration Fee includes morning and afternoon beverage service each class day and lunch on the last day of class, as well as a Resource Notebook and a copy of the book “The 27 Challenges Managers Face” by Bruce Tulgan.
